Through specifically designed projects, workshops and activities, we immerse children and young people in the vibrant world of street art, not only to hone their skills, but also to strengthen their social-emotional and leadership competencies.

At the Colonense Performing Arts Foundation, we not only embrace Hip Hop as an artistic genre, but as a transformative culture that exudes peace, unity and empowerment. Our mission goes beyond songs and dance steps; It is about nurturing the hearts and minds of young people from Colon with fundamental values that build bridges to a future of harmony.

The pillars of Hip Hop

Through the pillars of Hip Hop, such as rap, DJing, graffiti and break dancing, we provide young women with tools with which they can express themselves, connect and transform their environments. These elements are not simply art forms, but channels to convey a powerful message of peace, respect and unity in our schools, streets and neighborhoods.


Rap/ MC

Rap is more than catchy rhymes; It is a form of expression that gives voice to the realities of life. Through letters, young people can share their experiences, dreams and challenges, promoting empathy and understanding among their peers and the community at large.

Break Dace

More than flashy movements, break dancing is a physical expression of improvement and resistance. Young people learn to face life's challenges with strength and come together in an environment where everyone plays an important role in choreographing change.

Dj

DJ not only plays music, but mixes different rhythms to create harmony. Likewise, we teach young people to mix their unique talents to create a united community, highlighting the importance of working together in a diverse world.

Graffiti

More than just paintings on walls, graffiti is a visual way of telling stories. They channel their creativity to transmit messages of peace and social change through art that transforms public spaces and the perceptions of young people.

Knowledge

Hip Hop is not only about rhythm and lyrics, but also about learning about the history and values that underpin it. We pass on knowledge of Hip Hop culture as a solid foundation to understand how you can be a positive force in the community.

Our programs and workshops fit the pieces of Hip Hop culture into a mosaic of hope and transformation. We guide young people in exploring their creativity through dance, rhythm, rhymes and visual expression.
